iPhone Pics, Pt. 3

Some more photographs of Islamorada. Aside from the first two, these were all taken on Lower Matecumbe Key, the island my parents’ home is located on on which my parents’ home is located. The island itself stretches nearly eight miles, a fact I didn’t fully appreciate until yesterday when I thought it would be a good idea to walk from one end to the other and back. Needless to say that didn’t end well. But I did get some amazing photographs

[1] A tub with floating flowers in the lanai between Pierre’s and Morada Bay. [2] Indian Key, setting of one of the Keys’ most fascinating stories. [3] A look into the Atlantic from one of what passes for a beach down here. [4] Manatee mailboxes are common… [5] …but the accessorizing is an optional extra. [6] A brilliant sunset over Matecumbe Bay.

  1. Im loving your photos! Are all these pics taken with your iphone?

    • Yup – They’re all taken on the iPhone since leaving Pace. The iPhone has a really bad quality built-in camera, it’s very bad on focusing or getting a decent image quality. So I’ve been practicing on getting better with it (cuz I left the Nikon at home this trip) and using a program on the phone that kind of takes advantage of some of the faults and turns them into advantages. I think they’re turning out pretty decent.
